The Countdown Begins
Stepping into Self-Employment: The Countdown Begins
As my chapter in the employed world nears its end, I’m looking ahead — and honestly, buzzing — to step fully into self-employment.
When I first took on the role of Fundraising Executive at England Rugby, I knew those 14 months would be a bit of a testing ground for me. I wanted to figure out whether the 9-5 life was where my heart lay, or if my true calling was diving headfirst into a career filled with creativity, movement, and the pure joy of teaching. Spoiler alert: it's definitely the latter.
And here I am now — just a few weeks away from the end of my contract, with classes lined up, auditions attended, and even a very bouji studio induction in the diary (keep your eyes peeled for that one 👀). The excitement is real. I’ve known for a while now that this is where my path is headed — helping others find joy through movement — and it feels pretty amazing to finally be stepping into it full-time.
Over the past year, I’ve thrown myself into learning as much as I possibly can — attending CPD courses, shadowing other teachers, taking endless classes, and soaking up every bit of knowledge to become the best teacher I can possibly be. I want to bring that knowledge, energy, and passion into every single class I teach.
My ultimate goal? To make a difference in your day. Whether that’s helping you find space to breathe, move, laugh, or just switch off from the outside world — I’m here for it all.
So come April 1st, the real adventure begins. And I cannot wait to move with you. 💛
